Surrogacy Complication Coverage This policy covers (intended parent) clients or patients of a "participating organization" (typically a fertility agency, clinic, law firm, or other fertility industry provider) who have entered into a legal contract with a surrogate for surrogacy services through the participating organization. The policy is sold to the participating organization which then makes the coverage protection available to its clients or patients as a part of its services offered to them. Once their master policy is in place, the participating organization individually applies for coverage and adds each new individual participant as their business needs dictate. The annual premium for each surrogacy cycle is approximately $5,025. There is a one cycle deposit and minimum annual premium (which is fully earned at inception) to establish and maintain the participating organization's policy.
