Hurricane Gustav - Important Message to Clients - 29-Aug-2008

As of 1:00 p.m. Central Standard Time today, hurricane Gustav was threatening the upper Gulf coast including portions of East Texas.  Since this is a holiday weekend and the exact track and expected landfall of the storm is yet to be determined, we are contacting you today out of an abundance of caution.

Please remember to locate your insurance policies and keep them accessible.  The fastest and most expedient way to report a claim is to contact your insurance carrier directly using the number provided on the policy.  In addition, our website www.bbtexas.com lists the toll free claim numbers for many major insurance companies.

Brown & Brown’s claim service team stands ready to assist you with any claim, as necessary.  Should our Houston office be compromised, our phone and fax lines will be automatically forwarded to another Brown & Brown location where you will receive information and assistance.  In the event of a loss, you should do whatever is necessary to secure your property and protect it from further damage.
